Welcome to the Dwersteg Distillery!

We are a German family-run company and can look back on an eventful history of more than a century.

Back in 1882, Ludwig Dwersteg Jr. founded the company at its current location in Steinfurt. Since starting the business he has been dedicated to the production of finest liqueurs and spirits of high quality and for pure delight!

Since 1980 our company has been headed by Ludger Teriete. Together with his wife Monika, who is in charge of developing innovative recipes, they place great value in continuing this tradition as well as in the production of exceptional new and unique products. Marcel, second oldest of three sons, joined the company in 2007 and is in charge of marketing and sales as well as for export matters.

With the launch of our product line “Dwersteg Organic” we are proud to be one of the first manufacturers worldwide to produce finest liqueurs and spirits with raw materials from Organic Farming. Furthermore, most of our ingredients are fairly traded and produced in an environmentally-friendly way.

In 1994, the continuous expansion of our business required the building of a newer and more modern production unit at the same site.

Our innovative products are sold to customers all over the world. Besides many European countries, the Dwersteg delicacies are also delivered to gourmets in Asian countries. Furthermore, leading chocolate manufacturers use Dwersteg´s liqueurs and spirits for producing finest pralinés, chocolate products and desserts.
